The City Director is the most senior representative of Minerva on the City Team and works collaboratively with staff throughout the organization to provide a high quality experience for the current students while also supporting the institution to have a strong presence and recognition in the region.

Mental Health Advisor, Tokyo

The Mental Health Advisor (MHA) provides culturally-informed counseling/psychotherapy, education, support, coaching, and case management services for university students through our Counseling & Psychological Services (CAPS) office. He/she/they also develops and implements mental health education programs, and provides consultation services and training for students, faculty, and staff. The MHA must have a sophisticated understanding of the role of culture in higher education, and extensive skills in effectively serving a highly diverse and international student community.

Local Subject Matter Expert, Tokyo

Minerva University seeks three Local Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to collaborate on the development and delivery of our immersive course, “Special Topics in Japanese Society and Culture.” These roles are designed for experts who can provide the "connective tissue" between academic theory and the lived reality of contemporary Japan. We are looking for practitioners and scholars who can move beyond delivering information to providing expert interpretation and local nuance. Note that the Fall 2026 semester runs from Sept 1- Dec 11, 2026 but work will begin in early August, 2026.

Reporting to the City Director, the Civic Engagement & Partnerships Manager will support a small team to build strong external relationships to facilitate experiential learning opportunities for Minerva students.
